Our sonic brush heads vibrate and are designed to vibrate at a much higher speed than an oscillating toothbrush which helps to achieve a similar clean.

Unfortunately, we are not able to have our bristles oscillating when using Bamboo as this would take away from their sustainability making it more difficult for people to dispose of properly. Bamboo is also porous and even with a waterproof coating, there is no guaranteed moisture won’t get into the oscillating brush head (this could result in mould build-up or fire hazard). Therefore when it comes to an electric toothbrush, this just isn’t possible yet. The scientific engineering behind making this successful is just not around yet. TerraCycle® is a company that offers free recycling programmes that are funded by brands, manufacturers, and retailers around the world to help you collect and recycle your hard-to-recycle waste.

What you can recycle in this programme

Program accepted waste: Toothpaste tubes and caps, toothbrushes, toothbrush and toothpaste tube plastic packaging, floss containers and mouthwash bottles.

Please note: Please recycle your cardboard packaging in your kerbside recycling bin. Electronic toothbrush parts are not recyclable through this program.

What happens to the waste

Once collected, the oral waste is cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remoulded to make new recycled products.

A public drop-off location is typically set up and managed by a single person or a small group of people (known as administrator(s)). The administrator(s) will be in charge of managing the public drop-off location, sending the waste to TerraCycle® and deciding how earned points will be distributed.
